The Early Academic outreach program was established in 1976 by the University of California to increase postsecondary opportunities for California’s educationally disadvantaged students. Through a series of educational partnerships between school districts and school sites, the EAOP program designs, develops, and implements academic enrichment strategies to increase the college going rates of the schools it serves.

 

The mission of EAOP at UC Irvine is to increase the academic preparation and college going rates of the students and schools it serves. Through a series of collaborative strategies that includes; Academic Enrichment Programs, Academic Advising, Test Prep, and Parent Engagement, EAOP is positioned to develop the next generation of university scholars.
